Linda M. Bartlet - Artist Statement

My specialty for the last several years has been in the summer art fair circuit, I have depicted many landscape scenes (in watercolor) from my travels near and far.

Activity membership includes ASID, DuPage Art League, Elk Grove Artist Association, Arts in Bartlett, Prairie Woods Audubon Society, Galena Artist’s Guild, Illinois Watercolor Society and The Art Institute of Chicago membership. The Art Institute can be very inspiring. Currently, my tree entry (Complementary Colors) is on display at the Elk Grove Public Library. Butterfly watercolors (framed and on watercolor canvas) are also being exhibited at the Norris Center in St. Charles and the Hanover Park Center. My BFA is from Ray College of Design.

Project Statement:

For this project, I envision a comfortable bench in the grass near a light source which is surrounded by flowers. The flowers could be climbing clematis vine or other colorful potted flowers if these are more feasible than in ground plants. Wood chips enclosed by a stone border would be a nice possibility for the plant area.
