This drawing describes how each of us has many parts that make up the whole of who we are. And that the whole of who we are is beautiful in its intricacy. To put this drawing into a flower garden is a joy to me. I have always had a love of flowers, growing prize winning dahlias to unique irises from the Iris Society. My first paintings were daffodils and they are still my favorite. I currently work at a wholesale perennial grower, Intrinsic Perennial Gardens, where I continue to see new hybrids develop and plants that grow and bloom through the seasons. To “draw” with plants is delightful. I look forward to seeing the beauty of the Nautilus created in the beauty of plants and flowers. Foliage, of itself, can make a beautiful design, carving our the detail, giving shape and form to the design.
